Top of Page Meeting Goals:

    1. Provide customers of NOAA COOP data with detailed information on the technical proposal for modernizing the COOP network system architecture, including observation instrumentation, data communications, archiving, and quality control.
    2. Allow customers direct exchange with NOAA COOP management personnel to provide their input

    Rooms must be booked no later than August 30, 2002 for participants to be assured the federal government per-diem rate of $150 per night.

    Reservations should be made by individual call-in at 1-800-222-8733. Participants should mention that they are participating in the "NOAA COOP Modernization Partners' Forum" to receive the government rate. Reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card.

    The Hotel is directly adjacent to a metro stop, which makes it convenient for both local and out-of-town participants who want to take public transportation. Travelers coming into Washington-Regan-National Airport do not need a rent-a-car to get to the hotel.

    Directions:
    From Dulles International (20 miles): Take the access road to I-495 North. Follow sign for I-270 North. Exit at Montrose Road east. Go to Rockville Pike (Rt. 355) and turn left. The hotel is 3/4 mile ahead on the right.

    From Reagan National Airport (15 miles): Take the George Washington Pkwy. north to I-495 North. Continue as above from Dulles.

    From Baltimore/Washington International (25 miles): Go west to I-95 South and follow to I-495 West. Take exit I-270 North and continue as above from Dulles.

    Via METRO: Take the Red Line to Twinbrook. The hotel is one block west of the Metro station on Rockville Pike between Halpine Rd. and Bouic Ave.
