NCDC's Climate Monitoring Branch produces Alaska precipitation maps on a daily basis. These maps show percent of normal precipitation for the ASOS stations in Alaska. The computations are based on daily data reports, as available on an operational near-real time basis. Missing data may result in some stations appearing on some maps but not on others. All data are preliminary and undergo minimal quality control.
