After a one-month respite (wet August), dry conditions returned, statewide, with this month ranking as the 29th driest September in the 108-year record. Persistent dryness for much of the last 12 months has resulted in the third driest year-to-date (January-September) and seventh driest hydrologic year (October-September) on record.
