Drought National Climatic Data Center, 11 October 2002
The precipitation pattern for this month was near-normal, statewide, similar to the pattern which has held sway for most of the last seven months. However, the extreme dryness of July and earlier months has resulted in the third driest hydrologic year (October-September) in the 108-year record.
