Washington Drought

This month was drier than normal, statewide, ranking as the 24th driest September in the 108-year record. Persistent dryness during the last three months has resulted in the sixth driest July-September, but above-normal precipitation earlier in the wet season gave the state the 38th wettest hydrologic year (October-September).
