Arizona Drought

National Climatic Data Center, 14 August 2003

As reported by the Associated Press (7/15), Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano declared a state of emergency in Gila and Navajo counties, freeing up money to help those counties cope with a wildfire that has forced thousands to evacuate their homes.
