Climate of 2003 - June Montana
Drought National Climatic Data Center, 15 July 2003
|
|
As noted by the Great Falls, Montana, National Weather Service office (Gina Loss),
- June was wet in the eastern portions of the state but dry in the west
- the dry weather combined with hot temperatures, especially during late June and early July, to rapidly deplete soil moisture in some areas
- reservoirs were very low. In southwest Montana ... Lima Reservoir was 7.5% of normal capacity ... Clark Canyon Reservoir was 25% of normal. Fresno Reservoir in the north was 63% of normal.
