Climate of 2005 - December
Illinois Drought

National Climatic Data Center, 10 January 2006

Conditions across the state have varied considerably during 2005. Northern sections were predominantly dry while southern sections were not as dry. The tables and graphics below show the precipitation conditions averaged across the state as well as for the two driest sections, northwest Illinois (division 1) and northeast Illinois (division 2).
