Idaho Drought

Below-normal precipitation and above-normal temperatures during the last 3 months have resulted in extensive snowmelt in the Idaho mountains. Analyses by the USDA (Ron Abramovich) illustrate the unusually low reservoir and streamflow levels for several basins:

As reported by the media (North Texas e-News, 1/28/05), several counties in Idaho and California were designated by the USDA as primary agricultural disaster areas due to drought.
