NOAA Optimum Interpolation 1/4 Degree Daily Sea Surface Temperature Analysis
Beginning Jan 2012, the name of the near real time daily OISST will change to:
avhrr-only-v2.yyyymmdd_preliminary.nc. The "final" version filename,
produced with a 14-day lag, will remain as unchanged.
Update Oct. 6, 2011: AMSR+AVHRR OISST production has been discontinued because
the AMSR-E instrument has stopped working.
AMSR-2 is flying next year on GCOM-W, and hopefully will allow continuation of AMSR+AVHRR OISST.
